The event is organized as a smaller, capped group run using waves; waves are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and a waitlist or virtual option is available when waves sell out. Timing is optional: there are no timing chips, participants may track time with apps and submit results for posting, or ask coordinators for assistance.
Swag is mailed to participants in the United States; included items are a running T-shirt, a finisher's towel or giveaway, a finisher's medal, a digital training pack, online results, and a certificate of completion. Technical running shirts are available as a paid upgrade. Race bibs are provided on race day and there is no separate packet pickup. Shirts are scheduled to ship the week of the race; late registrants may receive shirts after the event.
The event notes coordinator support on course in a low-stress setting and invites participants to join local running clubs. Fundraising is optional; one dollar is donated per mile logged after the race to partner charities. Sponsors include Cure Hydration, KaChava, Shop TheBestRaces, and KeepGoingRun.
