MLK Jr. Freedom Run 5K/10K/13.1 SEATTLE

The MLK Jr. Freedom Run is an annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day running event held at Lincoln Park in Seattle. The event offers multiple in-person distances plus a virtual option and is presented as a smaller, group-focused run with a cap per wave and limited wave sizes.

Timing is optional; participants may track their time with running apps and submit results for posting, or request coordinator assistance for timekeeping. No timing chips are used. Race bibs are provided on race day and packet pickup is not required because participant swag is shipped to the registrant's US mailing address the week of the race.

Swag for registrants includes a running T-shirt, a finisher towel or giveaway, a finisher's medal, and a digital training pack. An optional technical running shirt can be added for a small upgrade fee. Online results and a certificate of completion are available. Organizers send a final event update by email in the week before the race and operate waves on a first come, first serve basis; coordinators remain available for a defined period after the first wave.
