About the race
Craft Classic Seattle is a running event in downtown Redmond featuring two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
Both courses are out-and-back routes on the Sammamish River Trail and offer riverside views. The course is described as flat and fast. The half marathon includes five aid stations spaced approximately every 2–3 miles supplying water, Tailwind electrolytes, and GU gels. There are no aid stations on the 5K.
The event is cupless to reduce waste; runners are encouraged to use a handheld bottle, hydration pack, or a small reusable cup provided for use during the race. Super Pacers will provide pacers for the half marathon targeting finish times of 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, and 2:15.
Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers based on gun time, and age-group awards are offered in five-year increments; awards must be picked up at the race and are not mailed. Porta-potties are available at the start/finish and at several points on the course. Walkers are welcome; dogs are not allowed to participate but may be present at the start and finish areas. Strollers are allowed under the event stroller policy.
Race start and finish are at Downtown Park in Redmond. Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, August 1 at Road Runner Sports Bellevue. Registrations are non-refundable; participants 22 and under or 65 and over may receive a 15% discount. A post-race beer garden offers beverages with proceeds benefiting a local firefighters benevolent fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
