About the race
A Merry Christmas Run takes place on December 26, 2026, at the South Peachtree Creek Trail in Decatur, GA. The event offers multiple distance options and a virtual alternative. It is organized as smaller, capped waves and is described as a private group run with coordinators on site.
Distances offered:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half‑marathon (13.1)
- Virtual run
- Family 1 Mile Fun Run
The event welcomes runners and walkers of all paces and ages; participants under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. Timing is optional: there are no timing chips, participants may track time using personal apps and submit results, or request assistance from coordinators. Bibs are provided on race day and packet pickup is not required because participant shirts and selected swag are shipped to the US mailing address provided at registration.
Swag and finishes include a running T-shirt (shipped in the U.S.), an optional technical shirt upgrade for an additional fee, a finisher's towel or giveaway, a finisher's medal, a digital training pack, and an online certificate of completion. The event lists registration fees by category and offers team, sponsorship, volunteer, and fundraising options. A post-race charity initiative donates $1 for each mile logged after the race to partnered charities; fundraising is optional. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
