Course and Logistics
The terrain is described as fairly flat, typical of the North Georgia region. The races are electronically timed, and a 16 minute per mile pace is required for all participants. Self-serve water stations are positioned approximately every 1.5 miles along the route.
Check-in and packet pickup take place at 3890 Johns Creek Pkwy. Participants have the option to have their bibs mailed if they register by the early November deadline. There is no participant parking in the main check-in lot.
Awards and Support
An awards ceremony follows the races, recognizing the top three male and female finishers in various categories, including overall, masters, senior masters, and grand masters. Awards are also provided for three-deep age groups in five-year increments. The event partners with the Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer, and participants are invited to bring old sneakers for a fundraising collection.
Virtual participation is also supported for all distances. Virtual runners submit their times via the event website to receive their results and have race packages shipped to them. Swag such as long-sleeve shirts, hoodies, and finisher medals are available as optional purchases. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
