About the race
The Running of the Turkeys 5k is a Thanksgiving Day event in Downtown Roswell with live and virtual options and a charity entry tier. The live course starts and finishes on Canton Street in Downtown Roswell and uses chip timing with overall and age group awards. The event supports Friends Of Roswell Police and one entry option donates 100 percent of the entry fee to RPD GIVES Charity.
All participants receive a turkey themed giveaway and a tri-blend long sleeve event shirt; virtual participants receive a shirt and gloves. The event is stroller friendly and does not allow pets. Organizers expect a large field of participants and require mandatory early packet pickup; race packets include bib, shirt, and giveaway.
Packet pickup is scheduled on the three days prior to the event at these locations: Gate City Brewing Company at 43 Magnolia St, Roswell; Big Peach Running Company East Cobb in Marietta; and a third pickup location noted by the organizer. There is an option to have a bib mailed for an additional fee, and a race day pickup fee is available for those who cannot attend early pickup. A T shirt only option is available and shirts must be picked up at packet pickup or on race day; shirts will not be mailed.
