The Bay Aquathlon Series - Race 2
The Bay Aquathlon Series returns for 2026 with a second race at Swansea Bay on Thursday 16 July. The event is an open water aquathlon held on the beach adjacent to Secret's Bar & Kitchen.
The series includes three dates and offers an option to compete in the full series across those events. Each individual race offers three distance choices:
- Sprint distance: 750m open water swim and a 5k run
- Super Sprint Plus distance: 400m open water swim and a 5k run
- Super Sprint distance: 400m open water swim and a 3k run
This race is a Tîm Tri Cymru 2027 qualifier. The opportunity to qualify applies to Triathlon Cymru members with core or above membership. The first place athlete in each five year age group earns a place on the team and there is no need to pre register intent to qualify.
The race start is on the beach. The Recreation Ground Car Park is a short walk from the start and additional parking is available in the surrounding area; parking charges may apply. An event pack will be available before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
