Event overview
The Bay Aquathlon Series - Race 2 takes place in Swansea Bay on 16 July 2026. It is the second of three races in the 2026 Bay Aquathlon Series. The series also includes races on 16 June and 27 August 2026. The organiser offers series bookings that cover all three race dates.
The event includes registration, a transition area, a mandatory race briefing, a short acclimatisation period, the race itself, and an award ceremony. An event pack is noted as becoming available soon.
Distances and format
Each individual race offers three distance options:
- Sprint: 750 m open water swim and a 5 km run.
- Mini Sprint: 400 m open water swim and a 5 km run.
- Super Sprint: 400 m open water swim and a 3 km run.
The organiser describes the Sprint option as aimed at more experienced athletes. The Mini Sprint and Super Sprint are presented as options for less confident or first time open water swimmers.
Location and logistics
Races start on the beach adjacent to Secret's Bar & Kitchen. The Recreation Ground Car Park is a short walk from the start. Additional parking is available in the surrounding area and charges may apply. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
