Texas Switchback Trail Race
The Texas Switchback is a trail running event held in Johnson City, Texas, located at 339 Ulrich Rd. This competition serves as the third and final installment of the Rogue Trail Series. The course consists of a single-track trail layout.
Participants can choose from four different race distances:
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 10k (10.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
The event features live bluegrass music and food provided by a local food truck. The race route is situated near Flat Creek, where runners may access the water after completing their respective distances. The race has previously been recognized as a top trail race in the Austin area by local media. Support along the course is provided by volunteers. Registration for the various distances is open for a specific window during the preceding year, with entry fees varying by the length of the race selected.
