Turkey Trot at Horseshoe Bay Resort
The 30th Annual Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Horseshoe Bay Resort in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. The event includes timed runs, a non-competitive walk, a Tot Trot for young children, packet pick-up before race day, awards, and a pet parade. A portion of each registration benefits the local community.

- 10K Run (chip timed)
Advance registration pricing is listed by category: Members and members' guests, overnight resort guests, general public, and children; the Tot Trot is free. Race packet pick-up is available in advance at the Whitewater Putting Hut on the days before the event. Race day registration and check-in occur at the hotel conference center.
Awards and event activities: medals are awarded to the top male and female in the Tot Trot and to top runners in each age division for the timed events. The Rock the Flock pet parade includes categories such as Best Pet Costume, Crowd Favorite, Tiniest Pet, and Biggest Pet with awards given immediately after the parade.
Event policies note that dogs must be on a short, non-retractable leash and owners must clean up after them; strollers, wheelchairs, and wagons are allowed on the 5K Walk; bicycles and similar devices are not allowed.
