Turkey Trot - Horseshoe Bay Resort
The 30th Annual Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, at Horseshoe Bay Resort in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. The event offers several participation options:
- 5K Run chip timed
- 10K Run chip timed
- 5K Walk non-competitive
- Tot Trot for children up to 8 years old
Medals are awarded to the top male and female runner in each age division for the 5K and 10K, and to the top male and female in the Tot Trot. A Race Awards presentation follows the races. The event also includes a Rock the Flock pet parade with categories such as Best Pet Costume, Crowd Favorite, Tiniest Pet, and Biggest Pet, with awards given immediately after.
Advance Race Packet Pick-Up is available November 23–25 at the Whitewater Putting Hut. Race day check-in and registration occur at the Hotel Conference Center. Registration pricing varies by category: members and members' guests, overnight resort guests, the general public, children, and a free Tot Trot entry; a portion of each registration benefits the local community.
Event guidelines note that dogs must be on a short non-retractable leash and owners must pick up after their pets. Strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs are permitted on the 5K Walk route.
