Carter Creek Wine Run 5k
The Carter Creek Wine Run is a 5K event at Carter Creek Winery Resort & Spa in Johnson City, TX on February 27, 2027. The course starts and finishes at the winery and follows a two lap route on grass and paved roads. The organizer notes the route is scenic and not optimal for a personal record. Runners and walkers are welcome.
Registration includes a T shirt made of ring spun cotton, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a chip timed race bib, online posted results, and a pour of wine. Minors may register at a discounted rate and receive a shirt, medal, and bib but not the wine glass or wine.
Age group awards are offered for the top three finishers in ten year categories: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over. Age group medals must be picked up on race day at the registration table and are not available for shipment after the event.
Packet pickup is available race day only and opens shortly before the event. Strollers are allowed but not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Dogs are not allowed on site due to USDA rules for the farm property.
The event names the Texas Wine Auction Foundation as its local charity partner. The foundation funds grants and programs that support health and mental wellness in Texas communities and research and sustainability efforts for the Texas wine industry.
