Carter Creek Wine Run 5k : event details
The Carter Creek Wine Run 5k is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Carter Creek Winery Resort & Spa in Johnson City, Texas (4064 West US Highway 290). The event is a chip-timed 5k run/walk and results will be posted online by J3 Timing. Packet pickup is race-day only and opens one hour before the event.
Registration, awards and other information
Registered participants receive a t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, and a pour of wine. Minors are allowed and receive a discounted registration that includes shirt, medal and bib; minors do not receive a wine glass or a wine pour. A virtual participation option is available; the organizer can ship a race packet for an additional $10 shipping and handling fee.
The event offers age group awards in 10-year categories (for example 10-19, 20-29, up to 80+). Age group awards are available for pickup on race day only; competitive runners must start with the first group or wave to be eligible. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground, and children in strollers may participate for free without registration.
