Event details
The Carter Creek Wine Run is a chip-timed 5k run/walk taking place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Carter Creek Winery Resort & Spa, 4064 West US Highway 290, Johnson City, TX 78636. The race is timed and scored by J3 Timing and results will be posted online at J3Timing.com. The official course map will be posted soon.
Registration and logistics
Registration includes a Super Soft ring spun cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal (doubles as a bottle stopper), a chip-timed race bib, and a postrace wine pour. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but do not receive a wine glass or a wine pour. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event. A virtual participation option is available; packets can be picked up or shipped for a shipping and handling charge.
Awards and other info
Age-group awards will be offered in 10-year categories, with awards available for top finishers in each category; age-group awards are available on race day only and must be picked up at the event. The event lists the Texas Wine Auction Foundation as a charity partner. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate without registration.
