Carter Creek Wine Run 5k
The event is a 5k run/walk held at Carter Creek Winery Resort & Spa in Johnson City, Texas on February 27, 2027. The course starts and finishes at the winery and consists of two laps on a mix of grass and paved roads; the route is described as scenic and not optimized for personal records. Runners and walkers are welcome.
Registration includes a T-shirt made from ring spun cotton, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a chip-timed race bib, online results, and a pour of wine. Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but does not include a wine glass or a pour of wine. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event.
Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each ten-year category: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards. Age group awards must be picked up at the event and are not shipped after the race.
The event’s charity partner is the Texas Wine Auction Foundation, which funds programs focused on community health, mental wellness, research, sustainability, and other initiatives to support the Texas wine industry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
