Real Ale Brewing 5K Beer Run
The Real Ale Brewing 5K Beer Run takes place on Dec. 5, 2026 in Blanco at Real Ale Brewing Co., 2250 US-281, Blanco, TX 78606. It serves as the final (13th) event in the 2026 Texas 5k 6-Pack Beer Challenge.
The event is a 5K that starts and finishes at the brewery. Finishers receive a custom finisher pint glass, four 8 oz tastings from Real Ale, and an official race performance fabric shirt. The course is well marked and supported and uses chip timing. Free race photos are provided online after the event. Food trucks will be available for purchase after the run. The course is stroller friendly.
The route runs south through rural farm roads and returns to the brewery. One aid station at the 1.5 mile point is staffed by volunteers from the event beneficiary, Friends of Blanco State Park, and offers water and sports drink. The event benefits Friends of Blanco State Park.
Awards are given to top male and female overall and master winners and to the top three male and female finishers in age groups 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and up. A holiday costume division awards prizes to the top five male and top five female costumes, and a random drawing for souvenir awards is held after the competitive awards ceremony.
Adult pricing is $60 through Nov. 5, $65 through Nov. 21, $70 after that, and $75 on race day. Minor pricing (under 21) is $45 through Nov. 5, $50 through Nov. 21, $55 after that, and $60 on race day. Packet pickup is available at Real Ale Brewing Co. the Friday before the race and on race day at the brewery. Parking is free and plentiful; attendees should follow volunteer parking instructions.
