Event Overview
The Real Ale Brewing 5K Beer Run is an annual event held in Blanco, Texas. It serves as the final installment of the Texas 5k 6-Pack Beer Challenge. The course begins and ends at the Real Ale Brewing Company located at 2250 US-281. This event benefits the Friends of Blanco State Park and features a route that travels south along rural farm roads before returning to the brewery.
The race is chip-timed and the course is described as stroller friendly. Participants have access to one aid station at the 1.5-mile mark which provides water and sports drinks. Free parking is available on-site at the brewery with volunteer assistance provided for guidance.
Participation and Distance
The event features a single distance:

Registered participants receive a performance fabric shirt and a custom finisher pint glass. For participants over 21 years of age, the entry includes four 8-oz beer tastings at the brewery tasting room. Food trucks are present on-site for post-race purchases, and digital race photos are provided for participants after the event.
Awards and Recognition
Competitive awards are presented to the top male and female overall winners and masters (40 and up). Custom awards are also given to the top three finishers in several age groups ranging from 19 and under to 70 and up. A holiday costume division is included with prizes for the top five male and female entries. Additionally, random drawings for souvenir awards are conducted following the main award ceremony.
