Texas Quad
The Texas Quad is a multi-day running event held at Bachman Lake in Dallas, Texas. The event consists of four consecutive days of racing, providing participants the opportunity to complete multiple distances in a single weekend. Each day features the following race options:
- Half Marathon (approx. 13.38 miles)
- Marathon (approx. 26.76 miles)
The course is set on a mix of concrete and asphalt surfaces. Due to local construction, the route consists of repeating loops around the lake; the Half Marathon requires four loops, while the Marathon requires eight loops. The course is largely flat, with a small hill located near the bridge and the start/finish area. Because of the rerouting, the course is currently not certified.
An aid station is available every 3 miles, providing water, sports drinks, pretzels, and bananas. Participants may also leave personal coolers or bags near this area. The event uses gun timing for official scoring. There is no time limit for participants to complete their distance.
The event is held at the Bachman Lake Pavilion. Ample free parking is available within 50 yards of the trail. The park is located approximately 3 to 5 miles from Love Field Airport. Facilities include bathrooms at the start/finish line and additional units positioned around the lake. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
