Tesla Hertz Run - Happily Running
Tesla Hertz Run is a four-day trail event in Rocky Point, NY, held October 9–12, 2026. The event uses a single 10.48-mile loop through the Long Island Pine Barrens and offers eight distance options across the weekend.
The loop is 10.48 miles, about 99.9% trail, and includes two road crossings per lap. The route is marked with pink and reflective flagging plus occasional arrows. Two aid stations are available on each loop: North Country at the start/finish and Whiskey Girl at mile 5.5. Aid stations are cupless, stocked with Skratch Labs hydration and a range of foods (for example PB&J, pretzels, chips, candy, fruit, broth, perogies, and later pizza, burgers, hot dogs). Participants should bring a collapsible cup or hydration vessel; cups may be sold on site.
Pacer and crew policies are defined: pacers must wear pacer bracelets and sign a waiver, and may join runners once allowed by the race rules; 150-mile entrants must complete at least one lap on Friday night before engaging a pacer. Crews are allowed at both aid stations though access may be restricted for some distances. Other logistics: port-o-potties exist only at aid stations, parking is not permitted in the start/finish lot and nearby parking is available outside the main lot, and tick awareness is advised for October in Long Island.
