Anthony's Red Shoe FUNd Run 5K : October 3, 2026
The event is a charity 5K run/walk held at Stony Brook University, centered on the Stony Brook University Bookstore and the campus grounds at 242 Frank Melville Library, Stony Brook, NY 11794. The course begins at the bookstore patio, follows John S. Toll Drive and Circle Road around campus, and finishes at the Stony Brook Union patio. All participants are asked to stay on sidewalks. Total distance is 3.1 Miles.
The program includes a 100 meter kids dash for children 10 and under. Race amenities listed for participants include a T-shirt, finisher medals, lunch, an after party with food trucks, live results, and free finish line photos. A personalized bib is available for those who register three weeks in advance. Bib pickup is located outside the bookstore patio in Room N0001. Parking is available at LaValle Stadium with directions to the Union Building lobby for registration.
Proceeds and support from registration and sponsorships will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro capital campaign to build a new $30M house at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.
