2026 Sweet Run 5k & 10k
Held August 30 at Sweet Run State Park in Hillsboro, VA, this event features trail races over two distances.

Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series, and they also count toward the Summer Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend on the day.
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical Drifit event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by August 19; extra shirts are available later on a first-come first-served basis. Registration fees listed include early and later pricing tiers with a race‑morning price increase of $5 for each distance.
The course is a technical forest trail with steep inclines, roots, and rocks. Water stations are planned at approximately mile markers 1.55 for the 5k, and 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65 for the 10k; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are on site. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered; arriving about one hour before a chosen race is recommended.
Results are posted live on Athlinks with a QR code at the venue, and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Parking is available at the park with a provided latitude and longitude pin. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
