Harvest Hustle 5k Run & 1k "Fun" Walk
The event is organized by the Seashore Striders and the Village Volunteers and takes place at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes. It is the second annual Harvest Hustle.
The event includes two distances:
- 5k Run
- 1k "Fun" Walk
Both events follow a flat course starting and finishing at the north side of the Main Beach Parking Lot. The course goes to the Campground/Dune location and back.
Registration is available online or by mail. There is a "No Refund" policy, but options for transfer or donation of the entry fee are offered. The event benefits the Village Volunteers, which supports older adults living independently at home.
Race timing uses the Chronotrack B Chip system. There is an awards ceremony after the race. Custom t-shirts and awards are provided, along with post-race refreshments. Awards are given for the 5k Run, including overall winners, masters winners, and top three finishers in multiple age categories. There are no awards for the 1k Walk.
