About the race
The event on January 3, 2027 takes place at Summit Point Motorsports Park in Summit Point, WV. It offers multiple road race distances on a paved raceway course with small elevation changes and out and back layouts.
Distances include:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
Points from this event count toward the organizer's Year Long 5k, 10k, Endurance, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available for those who cannot attend in person.
Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical Drifit event shirt, and chip timing. Water stations are placed along each course including nine stations on the half marathon, three on the 10k, and one on the 5k with Gatorade available at some stations. Restrooms are available onsite.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in age categories 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. Live race results will be posted on Athlinks and via a race day QR code.
Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. T shirts are guaranteed to runners registered before Dec 18. Registration fees listed by the organizer apply and race morning entries increase by five dollars. The half marathon has a completion time limit of 3 hours 15 minutes.
