Strides for Community Summer 5K Series 2027
Strides for Community Summer 5K Series is a set of recurring community 5K events held at Blydenburgh County Park Campground Playground in Smithtown, NY. The series runs on multiple dates during July and August and proceeds rain or shine. The organizer describes the series as a free program intended to keep families and individuals active throughout the summer while removing financial barriers to participation.
Event services include live online, text, and email results, free finish line photos, and free same-day video and finish line pictures. Age-group recognition is offered for the top one finisher in male, female, and nonbinary categories across many age bands from 14 & Under through 90+. Bib pickup is handled by event staff beginning one hour before each event; a bib number is required for pickup. Last-minute registrants within 24 hours of an event receive their bib number by text, typically within 90 seconds.
