About the race
The Massapequa Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for November 26, 2026 at John J Burns Park, 4990 Merrick Road, Massapequa, NY. The event takes place rain or shine and includes a separate family fun run.

Registration options include a 5K Run/Walk and a 1/2 mile untimed fun run. A top quality long sleeve shirt is guaranteed for those who register by 11/6; shirts may be available after 11/8 but sizes are not guaranteed. Registrants who sign up three weeks before the event can receive a personalized bib. Bib lookup is available online and a bib number is required for packet pickup. Packet pickup is available the evening before the race on 11/25 and there is limited pickup on race day.
The 5K course is USATF certified and runs on the interior loop at Burns. The fun run is a 1/2 mile trail loop within John J Burns Park. Strollers are permitted; dogs are not allowed per Town of Oyster Bay rules. Post-race items include bagels and bananas. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to top three males and females in standard age groups.
