Stony Lake Sparkler 5K

The Stony Lake Sparkler is a community running event sponsored by the Stony Lake Property Owners Association and scheduled for July 5, 2026. The race is organized as part of July Fourth celebrations for Stony Lake property owners, local communities, and visitors. Proceeds support the Crystal Valley Care Fund.

The event takes place at the Stony Lake Inn. The course begins on Thomas Drive, a designated Natural Beauty Road, and both the 1 Mile Fun Run and the Sparkler 5K are run on an out and back course along this road. The event includes awards, medals, and t-shirts, followed by a post race party with food and music. Special recognition is given to the family with the largest participation, and awards are presented for best spirit costume. Dogs are not permitted at the event.

The Crystal Valley Care Fund, founded in 1992, provides assistance to roughly 300 families and individuals per year who face catastrophic illness or house fires. The Sparkler also involves sponsors and volunteers who support race operations and community activities.
