Apple A Day 5K
The Apple A Day 5K takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, through the town of Silver Lake, Michigan. The course follows a wooded seasonal road located just minutes from the Silver Lake Sand Dunes and is presented as part of the Silver Lake Sand Dunes Apple & BBQ Festival.
Race day registration is available at Mac Wood's Dune Rides, located at 629 N 18th Ave, Mears, MI 49436. Participants who register by August 31 are guaranteed an official race t-shirt. The base entry fee is $25.00 plus a $2.20 sign up fee; the registration price increases to $30.00 after September 2. Each participant must complete a waiver prior to the race.
The event is organized as a non timed race. Awards are given to the overall male and female winners, and random drawings will be held for 16 participants. The race serves as a fundraiser for a volleyball team, and age group or gender results will not be tracked.
The 5K is scheduled alongside festival activities including food vendors, live music, a classic car show, and local craft booths, providing opportunities to attend other festival attractions before or after the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
