Snowman Scram 5K Run/Walk
The Snowman Scram 5K Run/Walk is presented as a fundraiser for the Pentwater Cross Country and Track Teams. The event uses the grounds of Pentwater Public Schools with the start and finish located by the school bus barn and track. The 5K course is flat and run entirely on paved roads. Chip timing will be provided for quick results.
Packet pick up is handled in the school lobby, and the gym is available for warm up. Water will be available at the finish and refreshments will be served in the school cafeteria after the race. Live music by Canopy Space is scheduled while results are tallied. Door prizes will be distributed.
A virtual 5K option is offered; virtual registrants receive a long sleeve tech shirt and a finisher medal, with an option for mailing for an extra cost. Virtual participants are not eligible for age group medals but may share results publicly. Pre-registered participants who register by February 1 will receive a long sleeve tech shirt; registrants after that date and many day of registrants may not receive shirts.
Awards include age group medals for first through third places across listed age categories, trophies for overall male and female winners, trophies for masters winners, and additional trophies for oldest and youngest 5K finishers and the middle of the pack finisher.
