Event overview
The Snowman Scram is a winter fundraising event on February 14, 2026, for the Pentwater Cross Country and Track Teams. It is held at Pentwater Public Schools, 600 E. Park St., Pentwater, MI. The event includes the following distances:
- 1 mile fun run
- 5K run/walk
- 5K run/walk - virtual option
The course is flat and entirely on paved roads. Start and finish are by the bus barn and school track.
Logistics, entry and awards
Packet pick up is in the school lobby and the gym is available for warming up. Water will be available at the finish and refreshments will be served in the cafeteria after the event. A long-sleeve tech t-shirt is included for participants who pre-register by February 7; day-of or late registrants may not receive shirts. Finishers medals for the 1 mile fun run are guaranteed only with pre-registration by February 7. Virtual 5K entrants receive a tech long-sleeve t-shirt and finisher medal, which can be picked up or mailed.
Chip timing will be used and results will be provided quickly. There are no refunds for cancellations due to weather. Awards include medals for 1st through 3rd place in age categories (Under 10; 10-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+) and trophies for overall male and female winners and male and female masters (40+) winners, with an additional masters 70+ category.
