Event Overview
The Stink Stank Stunk 5k is a running event held at Lockport Brewery in Bolivar, Ohio. It is the first annual edition. The event features a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile fun run.
Course and Timing
The course is described as flat. The event uses bib timing. A detailed schedule is provided:
- Race day registration and packet pickup begins at 5:30 PM.
- The 1 Mile fun run starts at 7:05 PM.
- The 5K Run/Walk starts at 7:00 PM.
- Awards pickup starts at 7:30 PM, with no formal ceremony.
Awards
Awards are given for both distances. For the 5K Run/Walk, the top three overall male and female finishers are recognized, as are the top three in each age group (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+). The 1 Mile awards the top three overall male and female finishers.
Participant Information
Participants are encouraged to dress in Christmas attire. The race packet includes a t-shirt with the event logo and other swag. T-shirt sizes range from Youth X-Small to Adult 2X-Large. A "no shirt" option provides a $5 discount. Packet pickup occurs on race day at Lockport Brewery, starting at 5:30 PM. T-shirt availability becomes limited after June 30.
Charity and Sponsorship
Event proceeds support PGD (Project Grinch Dust), a local 501(c)3 organization. This charity assists local families by providing back-to-school clothes, shoes, backpacks, supplies, and Christmas gifts based on children's wishlists. The event welcomes sponsors, with contributions ranging from $250 to $5000. Donations or contributions of school supplies can be made, with details available on the organizer's Facebook page.
