Angry Bear Holiday Run
The Angry Bear Holiday Run is a community event held on December 5 at Jackson High School in Massillon, Ohio. The event benefits the Jackson High School baseball program and combines a short kids fun run with a 5K through local park areas that are decorated for the season and include an inflatable on the course. The event program includes holiday music, warm drinks, snowball games, an emcee, and a scheduled visit from Santa.

The 1 Mile Fun Run is for children ages 10 and under and is an untimed event; all finishers in that distance receive a mini medal or snowflake ribbon. All participants in event distances receive medals; registrants may choose a no-participation-medal option for a $5 discount. T-shirts are offered in youth and adult sizes with a no-shirt option for a $5 discount; there is no guarantee of a shirt for registrations after November 15 and limited shirts will be available at the event.
Awards for the 5K include top overall male and female and top male and female in age groups 14-and-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-over. Costume contest awards are given for Best Winter Outfit, Funniest, and Most Festive. A pre-race packet pickup is scheduled the day before at the Jackson Baseball facility.
