Angry Bear Holiday Fun Run and 5K
The Angry Bear Holiday Fun Run and 5K takes place on December 5, 2026 at Jackson High School, 7600 Fulton Dr NW, Massillon, OH 44646. The event combines a community running program with seasonal activities and food vendors.
The event program includes festive elements such as holiday music, snowball games, decorations and an inflatable, as well as a visit from Santa. A costume contest will be judged in three categories: Best Winter Outfit, Funniest, and Most Festive. Finish-line provisions include medals, water, and snacks such as bananas and granola or energy bars. Concessions listed include pizza, Chick-fil-A, hot dogs, popcorn, cookies, donuts, hot cocoa, coffee, and other drinks.
Distances offered:
- 1 Mile : a kids fun run for ages 10 and under; this is an untimed event and finishers receive a mini medal or a snowflake ribbon.
- 5K : a run/walk with awards for top overall male and female and top male and female in age groups 14-Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-Over.
Registration details include a $10 fee for the 1 Mile and a $30 fee for the 5K, with registration opening May 1 and closing in late May. Student pricing of $15 off for ages 18 and under expires December 3. Family pricing of four members for $100 expires November 15. Packet pickup is available the day before and the day of the event. Shirt sizes are offered from youth small to X-Large and adults small to 2X-Large; a no-shirt option is available for a $5 discount and shirts are not guaranteed after November 15.
