Event overview
The Angry Bear Holiday Fun Run and 5K takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Massillon, Ohio, at Jackson High School (7600 Fulton Dr NW, Massillon, OH 44646). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Kids Fun Run (open to ages 10 and under)
The 5K base registration fee is $35. Student pricing offers $15 off for participants 18 and under (expires December 5). Family pricing is available for four family members for $100 (expires November 14). The 1 Mile Kids Fun Run fee is $10. Registrations after November 14 may not be guaranteed a t-shirt.
Activities, logistics, and awards
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race and on race day. The event supports Jackson High School Baseball and lists an online donation goal of $10,000. Event activities listed by the organizer include holiday music, warm drinks, snowball games, a visit from Santa, decorations and an inflatable on the 5K course, fire pits with s’mores, raffle prizes, and on-course or finish-line refreshments such as water, bananas, granola, and energy bars.
Finishers receive medals or ribbons for the kids run and medals at the 5K finish. 5K awards include top overall male and female and age-group awards. Costume contest categories are Best Winter Outfit, Funniest, and Most Festive. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
