Tuscarawas County YMCA Turkey Trot
The Tuscarawas County YMCA Turkey Trot is a community 5K run/walk held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, at the Tuscarawas County YMCA, 600 Monroe Street, Dover, Ohio. The event welcomes runners, walkers, families with strollers and dogs, and participants of all ages; reported participant ages range from babies to runners in their 90s.
The event program includes packet pickup the day before and on race day, pre-race announcements and spirit awards just before the start, and awards pickup after the race. Race awards include Top 3 overall men and women, Top 3 men and women in each age group from 14 & Under through 80 & Over, plus single awards for best spirit, best costume, oldest and youngest runners, and best pet costume.
Shirt options include Youth Small to Large, Adult Small to 3X-Large, or a No Shirt option; registrations received by November 1 are guaranteed a race shirt. The published registration fee is $20.00 for the listed 5K entry.
Proceeds from the Turkey Trot provide direct financial assistance to local kids and families through the YMCA Annual Campaign, supporting membership assistance, program participation, swim lessons, preschool, afterschool care, summer camp, youth sports, and related services.
