Tuscarawas County YMCA Turkey Trot
The Tuscarawas County YMCA Turkey Trot is the 55th running of the event and takes place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, at the Tuscarawas County YMCA, 600 Monroe Street, Dover, OH 44622. The event features a community 5K Run/Walk and a discounted entry rate for ages 1 to 15.
Participants include runners and walkers of all ages, from babies to individuals in their 90s, and the event accommodates strollers and dogs. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three in each age division. Additional single awards recognize best spirit, best costume, oldest and youngest runners, and best pet costume. Age divisions run from 14 & Under through 80 & Over, with standard decade groupings for adult categories.
T shirt options are available in Youth Small to Large, Adult Small to 3X Large, or a No Shirt option; registration by November 1 is recommended to guarantee a race shirt. Pre packet pickup is available the day before the race and packet pickup occurs on race day.
All proceeds from the Turkey Trot provide direct financial assistance to children and families in the community through the Y's Annual Campaign, supporting memberships, swim lessons, preschool and afterschool care, summer camp, youth sports, and related programs.
