St. Veronica 6k Run/Walk for Scholarships

The St. Veronica 6k Run/Walk for Scholarships takes place on the 6K loop of the Cook County Forest Preserve Vollmer Grove Trail at Vollmer Road Trails in Olympia Fields, Illinois. The event supports the St. Veronica Kwanzaa Ministry Scholarship program.

The event is open to participants of all ages and accommodates both running and walking on the paved trail. Race entry includes chip timing, a marked course, prizes, and race swag. Registrations by September 14, 2026 receive a complimentary St. Veronica 6k Run/Walk for Scholarships T-shirt.

Packet pickup occurs on race day at the start area. The course is stroller friendly and dogs are allowed on a leash. Parking is available at the start area, with an overflow lot off Flossmoor Road about 1 mile from the trail access; the Olympia Fields Metra station on the Metra Electric line is approximately 2 miles away.

Medals will be awarded to the top three overall finishers and to the top three finishers in each age group: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
