Blue Bridges 5K
The Blue Bridges 5K is a running and walking event in Blue Island, Illinois, on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The event features a single 5 km distance.
The event is open to families and welcomes participants of all ages. A race lead on a bicycle will accompany runners and walkers. Participants can pick up their race packet in advance at 13307 Olde Western Ave St, Blue Island, or on the day of the event.
Beverages are provided before the race and at a water station at the halfway point. A complimentary gear check is available for all participants. The course features distance markers every half mile.
The event is chip-timed by a professional timing company, with live results displayed on a digital screen and posted online the following day. Awards are given to the first, second, and third place male and female finishers, with an additional prize for the overall winner.
