SSAFA Cardiff 5K Road Race Series
The SSAFA Cardiff 5K Road Race Series is an annual set of three 5-kilometre road races held in Cardiff to raise funds for SSAFA South East Wales. The series is organised as a competitive event under UK and Welsh Athletics rules and appears on the CAAC calendar. The series was founded in 1998.
For 2026 the race dates are Wednesday 20 May, Wednesday 3 June and Wednesday 22 July. Entrants may enter one, two or all three races. A listed entry fee for the third race in 2026 is £13.
The race headquarters is at the Blackweir Tavern on North Road in Cardiff. The nearest train station is Cathays, a short walk from the tavern. Limited parking is available at the Blackweir Tavern. Pay and display parking is available further along North Road toward the city centre; the car park is most easily accessed when approaching from the opposite direction to the city centre.
The event is open to a wide range of runners, including club members and individual runners. The series combines fundraising with competitive racing under recognised athletics rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
