The Dragon 100, 50 & 30 Coastal Races : 18 to 19 July 2026
The Dragon Coastal Races are three ultra-trail events that follow the Wales Coast Path and finish in Cardiff Bay at the Captain Scott Memorial by the Norwegian Church. The event is open to entrants aged 18 or older. Entries open on 12 September 2025 and close on 12 July 2026. The races are organized by Run Walk Crawl and use SiEntries for registration.
Race details
- 100 miles from Rhossili Bay (Worms Head) to Cardiff Bay
- 50 miles from Kenfig Sands Nature Reserve to Cardiff Bay
- 30 miles from Dunraven Bay (Southerndown) to Cardiff Bay
The approximate total ascent for each route is: 3400 metres for the 100, 1300 metres for the 50, and 460 metres for the 30. The 100 has 12 checkpoints, the 50 has 7, and the 30 has 4. Drop bag access is provided for the 100 (three bags) and the 50 (one bag). All races use marked routes, a GPS file, and a marked map and route description for navigation. Live GPS tracking is provided for all entrants. Entry fees are listed as £160 for the 100, £95 for the 50, and £55 for the 30. Coach transport from Cardiff Bay to the starts is available for an additional fee. Finishers receive a buckle for the 100 and medals for the 50 and 30; checkpoint food, post-event food, race safety cover and event photos are included.
