Event
Rabbit Run Wales is a series of trail races held on the private grounds of the Merthyr Mawr Estate, on the South Wales coast. The event is set within the Merthyr Mawr Warren National Nature Reserve. It is delivered in partnership by the Merthyr Mawr Estate and Run 4 Wales. The event is scheduled for 18 July 2026.
Races and course
Race options include short, long, and family formats:
- 12K
- 40K
- Family races: Bunny, Double Bunny, Toddler Dash
The 12K course passes over trails with hills, valleys, and a river crossing, and includes a descent of the Big Dipper sand dune. The 40K course includes the full 12K route plus an extended section along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast with cliffs and secluded coves. The location is described as within a national nature reserve, so the course uses natural paths and coastal terrain. Race results and volunteering information are maintained by the event organisers.
