Clevedon SwimRun
Clevedon SwimRun is a swimrun event held on 17th July 2027 with Event HQ on Salthouse Fields, Clevedon, and swims in Clevedon Marine Lake. The format alternates short running sections with lake swims and follows marked routes around the promenade, bandstand, beach and Poets Walk returning to the marine lake.
Distances and format:
- Full distance: 7k run over five sections and 1k swim (4 x 250 m)
- Half distance: 4k run over three sections and 500 m swim (2 x 250 m)
The run route starts and finishes at Salthouse Fields, goes along the promenade and across the beach to the lake slipway. Swim legs include lengths of the lake with exits at defined steps and splash pool steps. Full entrants repeat the run and swim sequence to complete the course. Waves are allocated and participants start in small groups.
Equipment and rules: wetsuits are optional but recommended for novices; all equipment used must be carried by the athlete and all entrants must wear a top. Finishers medals are an optional extra and are available for purchase during entry for £7. Entrants under 8 years are not permitted; ages 8 to 16 must be with a supervising adult, and 16 to 17 year olds may compete solo with parental consent.
The event is cupless water is provided at Event HQ and at both ends of the lake and temporary toilets will be available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
