About the race
The Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team stages a series of 5K races in Battersea Park on a UK Athletics certified course. The course is two laps on traffic-free avenues inside the park and is manually timed to UKA standards. The race headquarters is on Carriage Drive East, between the Boating Lake and the Millennium Arena running track, about 30 metres from Pear Tree Cafe; the start line is approximately 300 metres from the Race HQ.
All entrants must register online. Race numbers are mailed to participants in the week before the event and registration closes three days before the race or when the field is full. A baggage drop area is provided at Race HQ; organisers will supervise where possible, but valuables are left at the entrant’s own risk and all items should fit in a single bag. A baggage tag is sent with the race number.
General information includes a minimum age of 12 years, public toilets in the park, and free parking inside Rosary Gate or Chelsea Gate car parks after 5pm. Showers and changing rooms are available at the Millennium Arena for a £3 fee. Entry fees are listed between £8 and £10. Course records are maintained by age and sex, for example men's under-50 14:12 and women's under-50 16:00. The organiser states the event welcomes entrants identifying as Female, Male, or Non-Binary, with results ranked in Male and Female categories in line with athletics regulations.
