The Speed 5K Test
The Speed 5K Test is scheduled for Wednesday 16 September 2026 in Battersea Park, London SW11 4NJ, and is presented by Best Athletics as the series finale. The event is an evening race contested over 5 km on a UKA approved, flat loop course that runs around the Boating Lake. The route starts and finishes at the bandstand and includes kilometre signs; the course is fully marked and marshalled.
Event services listed for participants include timing results, free access to professional photos, finisher goodies, a pair of free Versus socks, and Science in Sport fuel. Race packs are collected on the day at the event HQ next to the bandstand; items are not posted. There is a secure bag drop area. Water will be available at the event HQ and public toilets are located about a five minute walk from the start area.
Practical travel notes state Battersea Park Railway Station is about a ten minute walk from the bandstand. A public paid car park is available in Battersea Park but spaces are limited; bus services run from Vauxhall. The listed entry fee range is £18 to £20.
