The City v Wharf Run Challenge
The City v Wharf Run Challenge is a corporate running event held at Victoria Park, Grove Road, Bow, London E3 5TB. The event features individual and team races that bring together entrants from the City of London and Canary Wharf business districts.
Distances offered:
- 5k individual race.
- 10k individual race (four laps of the 2.5k circuit).
- 10k team relay for pairs, each runner covering 5k.
The course is two laps of Victoria Park for the 5k and four laps for the 10k, with each lap measuring 2.5k. The route runs on hard paths, is flat, and is described as suitable for wheelchair users. Chip timing is used for all placings and instant results are available.
Awards include fastest male and female individuals, fastest relay team, largest company entry, and fastest company teams (male, female, mixed), with company placings calculated from the fastest four finishers from each company. Every entrant receives chip timing, a medal, a headband, race day support, and light refreshments with bottled water at the start and finish. Marshals are positioned around the course and bag storage and toilets are provided at the event hub near the Crown Gate East entrance. There is no dedicated parking at Victoria Park.
