The City v Wharf Run Challenge
The City v Wharf Run Challenge is a corporate running event held in Victoria Park, Grove Road, Bow, London. The route uses hard park paths and is described as flat and suitable for wheelchair users. The event hub is located near the Crown Gate East entrance; toilets are available at the hub and bag storage is next to the registration tents with limited space.
Distances offered:
- 5k: two laps of 2.5 km on flat hard paths.
- 10k: four laps, repeating the 5k lap.
- 10k team relay: teams of two, each complete one 5k leg or split laps.
Entries may be individual or as a two-person relay team. Individual entry fees and relay fees are set per person. Every entrant receives chip timing, a medal, a headband, light refreshments after the race, and bottled water at the start and finish. Race packs can be posted in advance or collected at the event; participants should allow 45 to 60 minutes to collect packs and use bag storage.
Results and company placings are generated from chip times. Company rankings require a minimum of four runners from the same company to be included in overall company results. Awards include fastest individuals, fastest relay team, fastest company teams, and largest company entry; some awards are presented after results are assessed.
