The City V Wharf Run Challenge
The City V Wharf Run Challenge is a corporate-focused running event held in Victoria Park, London. The competition encourages participants from the City of London and Canary Wharf business districts to compete for various accolades. The course is set on a flat, hard path surface and consists of 2.5 km laps around the park. The event is accessible for wheelchair users.
Participants can choose from several race formats:
- 5 km (two laps)
- 10 km (four laps)
- 10 km Team Relay (two runners per team, each completing 5 km)
The relay allows team members to complete their full distance consecutively or split the effort by handing over the baton every lap. For the individual races, company rankings are determined by the combined times of the fastest four runners from a single organization.
All entrants receive full chip timing to track their results and a medal, headband, and post-race refreshments upon finishing. Awards are presented in the week following the event for various categories, including the fastest individuals, the fastest relay team, the largest company entry, and the fastest company teams across male, female, and mixed categories.
The event hub is located near the Crown Gate East entrance of Victoria Park. While there is no dedicated parking on-site, the venue is reachable via public transport, with Mile End being the nearest underground station. Bag storage and toilet facilities are available at the event hub. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
