Midweek Chasing Numbers Sept 2026
Midweek Chasing Numbers is a midweek event organised by Saturn Running at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club along the River Thames. The event aims to keep entry costs low so participants can build race numbers or pursue personal distance goals.
This is a 7 hour Time Challenge in which participants control their distance. Distances and lap structure include:
- Minimum 3 km.
- Full lap about 7 km or 4.37 miles, may change to a 3.28 mile loop.
- Half marathon requires 3 laps.
- Marathon requires 6 laps.
- Ultra distances and a 50km option are available.
The course is fully signed and requires no navigation. Approximately 60 percent is on a well made path or tarmac, with the remainder on grass and light trail that can become muddy. Road shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes may help on wetter sections. The regular course may be adjusted subject to health and safety review and land owner approval.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a medal. Distance pins are awarded for half marathon and longer distances and are attached to the medal ribbon. All finishers receive a goody bag, with a vegan goody bag option available. An aid table and drinks table are provided at the start and finish of each lap with a mix of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items.
Race HQ offers toilets, changing and a cafe. Bag drop is unmanned and items are left at the participant's risk. There is a pay on exit carpark at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Final race instructions are emailed in the week before the event and race numbers are collected at registration on the day. Headphones are allowed and participants are asked to be considerate of other public footpath users. Membership offers a lowest entry price that is ten pounds lower than full price, guaranteed entry and a mini me medal pin at each event attended.
