Sri Chinmoy 3 x 1 Mile Relay - Edinburgh
The event takes place on Wednesday 15 July 2026 on the north University side of the Meadows, meeting near the Community Garden under blue flags. Races use a flat, accurately measured 1 mile loop and the format is a three leg team relay, 3 x 1 Mile Relay.
Entries are taken on the night with an entry fee of £2 per runner. Teams are encouraged to be pre organised but individuals may turn up and join or form a team. All relay legs are recorded so each runner receives a mile split and results will be posted online after the event. The course is accurately certified and the event has Scottish Athletics permission. The organisers note that the series has been staged in the Meadows for over 35 years.
Practical details include meeting near the Community Garden, toilets available behind the Tennis Pavilion and at Middle Meadow Walk by Melville Drive, and race information advising participants to come ready to run. Medals are awarded to leading teams across men, women, mixed, junior and veteran categories. There will also be pineapples at the event.
