Sprint Series Adventure Race - Lysterfield
The Sprint Series Adventure Race at Lysterfield Park is a team-based outdoor event on 4 Oct 2026. The event runs for four hours and entries are for teams of two, with early-bird pricing from $119 per person.
Teams navigate a mixed course that combines mountain biking, paddling and running or trekking to find checkpoints. Kayaking equipment (double sit-on-top kayaks, paddles and PFDs) is supplied as part of entry. Mountain-bike legs use the park’s Commonwealth Games trail network and the course layout is kept secret until race morning when teams receive their maps. Distances are approximate.
Course distances
- Classic: Run 5 to 7 km, Mountain bike 15 km, Kayak 5 km
- Novice: Run 3 km, Mountain bike 8 to 10 km, Kayak 2 km
The event accepts teams of two who paddle, bike and run or walk together while navigating to checkpoints. Kids over eight may race when accompanied by an adult. Participants of varied fitness levels are welcome. MTB gear is required and bike hire is available.
