About the race
Eltham TRI Start of Season Race is a club triathlon held at Eltham Leisure Centre. The event combines a pool swim, an indoor bike leg on stationary bikes, and a short run.
Distances:
- 400 m swim
- 10 km ride on stationary bike
- 4 km run
Entry fees are stated by category: $15 Adult, $10 Eltham Tri Club Member, and $5 Youth. Youth and juniors aged 14 to 18 may take part with parent or guardian support. The organiser will provide stationary bikes for the cycling leg so participants do not need to bring a bike.
The race uses a handicap system to allocate starting positions; early registration is required to receive a handicap allocation. On‑the‑day entries are accepted but those entries start without a handicap allocation. The event offers post-race refreshments including free pizza and soft drinks.
