AM Caravans Castle 5K Race 5
The event is a measured 5 km road and park race taking place on 09 September 2026 at The Sheepmount, Carlisle, Great Britain. The route uses a mixture of park paths, pavements and quiet roads and is described as mainly flat with generally good road surfaces. The course starts with a loop of Bitts Park, continues via Carlisle Castle where two laps are completed, and returns to Sheepmount Stadium with the finish near the small grandstand.
AM Caravans is listed as the series sponsor for 2026 and is described as a dealer of used touring caravans and motorhomes with caravan servicing based in Cumbria.
On the day, race numbers will be issued at registration. A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at event headquarters in accordance with UK Athletics rules. A safety briefing will be held before the race. Results will be published online shortly after the race.
Prizes are awarded for overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female. Age group prize allocation depends on the number of entrants and age group prizes are paid by bank transfer within seven days. Withdrawal rules state that entries cancelled one month before the race incur a 50% charge and refunds are not given after that date.
