AM Caravans Castle 5K Race 5
AM Caravans Castle 5K Race 5 takes place on 9 September 2026 at The Sheepmount, Carlisle, Great Britain. This event is the fifth and final race in the Castle 5K series and is sponsored by AM Caravans for 2026. The route is an officially measured 5 km course that uses a mixture of park paths, pavements and quiet roads that are mainly flat with generally good surfaces. The course includes a loop of Bitts Park, two laps around Carlisle Castle, and a return to Sheepmount Stadium with the finish near the small grandstand. Caution is advised at all turns and marshals will be present; participants are asked to follow the race director’s instructions and be aware of cars and cyclists.
A full course risk assessment will be on display at the event HQ on race day, together with route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate in accordance with UKA rules. Prize awards are provided for overall male and female positions first to third, and age group prizes follow a tiered scale based on the number of competitors: 1 to 17 competitors receive first place only, 18 to 27 competitors receive first and second place, and 28 or more competitors receive first, second and third place. Any age group finisher who places in an overall position will receive the overall prize and the age group prize will roll down. Age group prizes are paid by BACS within seven days. Withdrawal policy requires a 50 percent charge for cancellations made one month or more before the event; after that no refunds are given. Race results are published at timingupnorthresults.co.uk.
