AM Caravans Castle 5K Race 5
AM Caravans Castle 5K Race 5 is scheduled for 09 September 2026 at The Sheepmount, Carlisle, Great Britain. The event uses an officially measured 5 km route that combines park paths, pavements and quiet roads. Surfaces are generally good and the course is mainly flat.
The route includes a loop of Bitts Park, returns past Carlisle Castle with two laps around the castle area, then proceeds back to The Sheepmount Stadium with the finish close to the small grandstand. Caution is advised at all turns and runners should follow marshal and race director instructions. A full course risk assessment, route maps, the event permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at event headquarters; the permit number is to be advised.
Race numbers will be issued at registration. A race safety briefing will be held before the start. Prize presentation for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female will take place shortly after racing. Overall prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers. Age group prizes are paid by BACS within seven days and are awarded according to field size: one, two or three places depending on the number of competitors in the age category. If an age grouper also places in the overall prizes, the age group prize rolls down as described by the organiser.
Withdrawals made one month or more before the event are subject to a 50 percent charge. After that date no refunds are issued. Results will be published on the official timing results site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
