Great Cumbrian Run
The event at The Sheepmount in Carlisle features multiple road races organised by Better and Sport in Action. Races on the day include a half marathon, a 10 km race, a 5 km race and a short family fun run. The event lists age limits for specific distances and notes official measurement for the 5K in 2027.

Race numbers for entrants who registered by September 20 are posted out; entrants after that date can collect numbers at on-site registration during the event weekend. The event publishes an athlete guide and route details for each distance.
The organiser publishes a withdrawals and transfer policy: a 50% refund was available up to September 4, 2026, transfers to the 2028 event are possible up to September 26, 2027, and transfers to another runner were allowed before September 20.
The event lists local charity partners and fundraising as part of the event programme, naming Eden Valley Hospice, Every Life Matters, Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, and People First.
