About the race
The Cumbria Waste Group Great Cumbrian Run takes place on Sunday 4 October 2026 at The Sheepmount in Carlisle. The event offers a selection of measured and timed routes for a range of participants.
- 13.1 Miles (17 years plus)
- 10 km (15 years plus)
- 3.1 Miles / 5K (11 years plus)
- 1.1 Miles Fun Run (any age)
The event is managed by Better and Sport in Action. Cumbria Waste Group is the event sponsor for 2026 and will support on‑site waste management and recycling efforts to reduce environmental impact.
Race numbers are posted to entrants who registered by 20 September 2026; in-person collection is available on 2–4 October 2026 at scheduled registration sessions. Registration closes on 1 October 2026 at 23:59.
The organiser’s withdrawal and transfer policy: entries cancelled up to 4 September 2026 are eligible for a 50% refund; up to 26 September 2026 entries can be transferred to the 2027 race; transfers to another runner are permitted before 20 September 2026.
