Event overview
The Great Cumbrian Run takes place on Sunday 4 October 2026 at The Sheepmount, Carlisle. The event includes several race distances and a separate Family Fun Run that will be timed this year. The event is managed by Better and Sport in Action.

Distances offered:
- 13.1 Miles (route for 17 years plus)
- 10 km (route for 15 years plus)
- 3.1 Miles (5K; routes for 11 to 15 years and 16+)
- 1.1 Miles (Family Fun Run; any age)
Registration closes 1 October 2026 at 23:59. Race numbers will be posted to entrants who entered by 20 September; entrants after that date can collect numbers at organiser registration on the days before and on event day. The 5K is officially measured for 2026. Entry fees vary by distance and by date of entry, with listed prices from £10.00 for the Family Fun Run up to higher fees for longer distances.
