AM Caravans Castle 5K Race 4 : The Sheepmount, Carlisle
The event takes place on 12 August 2026 at The Sheepmount, Carlisle, Great Britain. The programme lists two distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The 5 km course is officially measured and uses a mixture of park paths, pavements and quiet roads that are mainly flat. The route begins with a loop of Bitts Park, continues past Carlisle Castle with two laps around the castle area, and finishes near the small grandstand at Sheepmount Stadium. Road surfaces are generally reported as good. Marshals are present; caution is advised at turns and participants should follow the race director’s instructions and be aware of cars and cyclists.
Race numbers are issued at on-site registration. A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at the event headquarters. Results are published online shortly after the race.
Prize awards include overall 1st to 3rd male and female, with age-group prizes allocated according to the number of competitors in each category (1 to 17 competitors: 1st only; 18 to 27: 1st and 2nd; 28 or more: 1st to 3rd). If an age-group finisher places in the overall top three, the overall prize is awarded and the age-group prize rolls down. The event is listed as sold out.
