Blencathra Marathon

The Blencathra Marathon is a challenging 26.5-mile trail marathon set in the scenic Lake District, starting and finishing in Caldbeck. This circular route features five Wainwright summits: Bowscale, Blencathra, Mungrisdale Common, Knott, and High Pike, making it ideal for experienced fell and trail runners as well as fell walkers. Participants can expect a well-supported event with water checkpoints, snacks, and hot drinks at the finish.

Each entrant receives a finisher's medal and t-shirt, and trophies are awarded for the top three finishers in various categories. Parking is available in the village. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
