CBTE Blencathra Marathon
The CBTE Blencathra Marathon is a circular fell and trail event based in Caldbeck. The route covers about 26.4 miles with an elevation gain just under 6000 ft and is fully tracked.
The course visits five Wainwright summits in sequence: Bowscale, Blencathra, Mungrisdale Common, Knott and High Pike, before returning to Caldbeck. The event is described as suitable for experienced fell and trail runners and for fell walkers. The minimum entry age is 18.
Entry includes a finisher medal, two water and snack checkpoints on the route, and snacks and hot drinks after the finish. Trophies are awarded to first, second and third place finishers in male, female and non binary categories. Parking is available in the village.
