The Lake District 27 ROAD
The Lake District 27 ROAD is a weekend multi-discipline event that combines stand up paddle boarding (SUP), road cycling, and trail running. It is based at Parkfoot Farm near Penrith, CA10 2NA, in Cumbria, with competition activity centred on Ullswater Lake and nearby cycling and running routes.
Distances offered:
- Standard - 3K SUP, 21K Road Bike, 5K Trail Run
- Long - 6K SUP, 42K Road Bike, 10K Trail Run
The venue sits at the Pooley Bridge end of Ullswater Lake, which the organiser describes as about seven and a half miles long and less than a mile across. The site includes a campsite and direct access to a mountain bike route and road cycling options, with surrounding mountain scenery to the south and gentler hills to the north.
On the Saturday before the event, participants have access to free SUP lessons including SUP Beginner, SUP Masterclass, and SUP Yoga. Friends and family may purchase a water access pass to attend lessons.
