Castle 5K Race 2
Castle 5K Race 2 takes place on 17 June 2026 at The Sheepmount, Carlisle, Great Britain. The event is part of a series sponsored by AM Caravans and includes a new health and fitness partner.
The course uses a mixture of park paths, pavements and quiet roads and is mainly flat. Surfaces are reported to be generally good. The route begins with a loop of Bitts Park, proceeds past Carlisle Castle with two laps around the castle, then returns to Sheepmount Stadium with the finish close to the small grandstand. Caution is advised at all turns and participants should follow marshals and take care around cars and cyclists.
A full course risk assessment will be displayed at event HQ on race day alongside maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate in accordance with UKA rules. A race safety briefing will take place before the race.

Prizes are awarded to overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female. Age group prizes are allocated by category size and are paid by BACS within seven days. If an age grouper finishes in an overall prize position the age group prize rolls down to the next eligible competitor.
Withdrawals made one month before the race incur a 50% charge. After that date no refunds are given. Results for all races will be available at www.timingupnorthresults.co.uk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
