AM Caravans Castle 5K Race 2
This event takes place at The Sheepmount, Carlisle, Great Britain, on 17 June 2026 as part of the Sport in Action series. AM Caravans is the series sponsor for 2026; the company is based in Cumbria and supplies used touring caravans, used motorhomes, and caravan servicing.
The course is an officially measured 5 km route that uses a mixture of park paths, pavements and quiet roads. Surfaces are generally good and the route is mainly flat. The route begins with a loop of Bitts Park, returns past Carlisle Castle for two laps, then proceeds back to the Sheepmount Stadium with a finish close to the small grandstand. Caution is advised at turns and runners should follow marshal and race director instructions and be aware of cars and cyclists.
Event information and administration notes state that race numbers and other items will be issued at race registration. A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at the event headquarters in accordance with UKA rules; the permit number is to be confirmed. Prize presentation will cover first, second and third male and female overall, with age group prizes awarded according to entry numbers and paid by BACS within seven days. The withdrawal policy applies a 50 percent charge for cancellations made one month before the event and no refunds after that date. Results are published via Timing Up North.
