Run Cumbria Solway Marathon 2027
The Solway Marathon is a certified road marathon that follows a flat route on rural and coastal roads around Anthorn in North West Cumbria. The course consists of two loops using country lanes through Bowness on Solway and returning to Anthorn via coastal roads. Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport and all finishers receive a bespoke medal; an optional event T shirt is available at extra cost. The course measurement is certified and the recorded time is recognised by Run Britain and may be used as a good for age qualification for marathons such as London and Boston.
Race facilities are based at Anthorn Social Club, which houses registration and toilets. The event provides distance markers every mile and water stations approximately every 3 miles. The surface is road and the route is traffic free. The minimum age to enter is 17. Entry is limited to 299 places; entries close on 5th June 2027. Entry fees are listed as £35 for affiliated runners and £37 for unaffiliated runners. Prizes include a finisher medal and individual awards for the first three male and female finishers, with trophies and vouchers for top places.
