Run Cumbria Solway Marathon - Anthorn, 7 June 2026
The Solway Marathon is a certified road marathon held in Anthorn, Wigton. The course is flat and follows scenic rural roads in North West Cumbria. Runners complete two loops that use country lanes through Bowness-on-Solway and return to Anthorn via coastal roads.
The event is limited to 300 entries and has a minimum age of 17. Entry fees are shown as affiliated and unaffiliated categories. Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport. The course has an official measurement certificate and its times are recognised by Run Britain rankings for qualifying purposes.
Race headquarters and registration are at Anthorn Village Hall, where toilets and basic facilities are available. The route is on road surface and is traffic free. Water stations are located approximately every 3 miles and distance markers appear every mile. Changing facilities, parking, first aid and refreshments are listed as available on the event day.
All finishers receive a bespoke medal and an optional event T-shirt is available for an additional cost. Individual and team prizes are awarded to the top finishers, with vouchers and trophies for the leading places. On-day entries may be possible but are not guaranteed and entries close on 1 June 2026.
