Run Cumbria Solway Marathon 2026
The Solway Marathon takes place on 7th June 2026 in Anthorn, Wigton (CA7 5AH). The course is described as a flat route on scenic rural roads in north west Cumbria. It starts and finishes in Anthorn and comprises two loops using country lanes through Bowness-on-Solway and returning via coastal roads. The course is certified as a road marathon and the measurement is recorded with an official certificate.
The event is run on traffic-free roads with a road surface. Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport. All finishers receive a finisher medal and an optional T-shirt is available at extra cost. Water stations are provided approximately every 3 miles and distance markers appear every mile. Race HQ and registration are at Arnthorn Village Hall; toilets, changing facilities, parking and first aid are listed at the venue. Minimum entry age is 17. Entries are limited to 300 and the affiliated and unaffiliated entry fees are shown; entries close 1st June 2026. Prizes include individual and team awards with vouchers and trophies for top finishers. A marathon cut-off guideline of 6 hours is given.
Run Cumbria Solway Half Marathon 2026
The Solway Half Marathon is also scheduled for 7th June 2026 in Anthorn, Wigton (CA7 5AH). The route is described as a flat loop on scenic rural roads, starting and finishing in Anthorn and using country lanes through Bowness-on-Solway before returning via coastal roads. The event is on traffic-free roads and the half-marathon has a course measurement certificate.
Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport and all finishers receive a medal; an optional T-shirt is available at extra cost.
