Event Overview
The Run Cumbria Solway Marathon is a road race held in North West Cumbria. The course is officially certified as a marathon distance and is conducted under UK Athletics rules. Because the course measurement is formally recognized, results can be used for "Good for Age" qualification for major international marathons.

Course and Logistics
The route is described as flat and fast, utilizing scenic rural roads and country lanes. The race starts and finishes in Anthorn, following a two-loop format. Runners travel through Bowness-on-Solway and return to the finish line via coastal roads. The surface is entirely on-road, and the course is marked with distance markers at every mile. Water stations are positioned along the route at three-mile intervals.
Participant Information
The race is chip-timed, with results calculated based on gun time. Registration and the race headquarters are located at Anthorn Village Hall, where toilets are available for participants. All finishers receive a bespoke medal upon completion. While race numbers are collected on the day of the event, there is an entry limit of 300 participants. Runners must be at least 17 years old to participate.
Prizes and Categories
Individual prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers. These include trophies and vouchers.
