Run Cumbria Solway Marathon 2026
The event is a road Marathon held on 7 June 2026 in Anthorn, Wigton CA7 5AH, UK. The course is flat and traffic free, arranged as two loops that use country lanes through Bowness-on-Solway and return to Anthorn via coastal roads. The route is certified as a road marathon and is recognised by Run Britain Marathon Rankings; it can be used for good-for-age qualification.
Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport. All finishers receive a bespoke finisher medal and an optional T-shirt is available for an extra cost. Distance markers appear every mile and water stations are provided approximately every 3 miles. The race HQ and registration are based at Anthorn Village Hall, where toilets, changing facilities, parking and first aid are available.
Entry is limited to 300 runners. Entry fees in 2026 are listed as affiliated £35.00 and unaffiliated £37.00, and entries close on 1 June 2026. The minimum age to enter is 17. Results are produced under UK Athletics rules with positions recorded by gun time; chip times are provided for personal use.
