About the race
The Gelt Gladiator is a mud-based obstacle event held in Walton, Brampton CA8 2JR, UK. The course is mixed terrain and organised as an obstacle course with a variety of physical challenges, tight tunnels and high climbs.
Distances available include:
- 10 miles - three laps on the main obstacle circuit
- 10K - two laps of the main course
- 5K - one full lap of the course
- Junior 4K - slightly shorter lap with some obstacles excluded
Obstacles on the route include technical tire shuttle runs, cargo nets, monkey bars, electric shock wires, tight tunnels, high climbs and a 100 metre slip and slide that finishes in a pool of water. Participants may skip obstacles if they wish. The route is way-marked and there are water stations provided; the 10 mile and 10K courses have two water stations, and the 6K course has one.
Facilities and services listed for the event include a custom tech t-shirt, free soft drink for finishers, changing facilities, event photography, a post-race event village with food and drink vendors, bag drop, team entries and toilets. Parking is available with a stated capacity for 1000 cars and a £5 on-the-day parking charge. Electronic waivers are required before arrival and minors require a parent or guardian signature.
