Southern California Brain Tumor Walk
The Southern California Brain Tumor Walk takes place on May 8, 2027, at Griffith Park - Crystal Springs Picnic Area in Los Angeles. The event is a 5K walk that raises awareness and funds to support the needs of people with brain tumors and their families. The program includes a Celebration of Life and a Survivor Tribute as part of the morning schedule.
The event is family-friendly and open to participants of all ages. For the walk/run, participants may run (untimed) or walk at their own pace. Wheelchairs, strollers, and leashed pets are permitted. A large parking lot surrounds the park; if that lot is full, shuttle service is provided from an alternate parking area near the merry-go-round.
Registration options and fees are listed for in-person and virtual participation. Adult walker registration is $35, youth walker (12 and under) is $10, and volunteer registration is free. Virtual registration is free; virtual participants who raise at least $100 by April 8, 2027 will receive an event t-shirt. In-person event t-shirts are available to registrants who register prior to April 8, 2027. Registration fees increase 60 days before the event.
Fundraising incentives include the NBTS Accelerator Club for individuals who raise $250 by event day, with additional recognition tiers at higher fundraising levels.
