South Portland Food Cupboard St. Max 5K Road Race
The event is the 16th annual South Portland Food Cupboard and St. Maximilian Kolbe 5K Road Race held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at St. Max Church, 150 Black Point Road, Scarborough, Maine. The program includes a main 5K Run/Walk and a free Kids Fun Run of one mile.

All entry fees and donations support the South Portland Food Cupboard. Last year the race raised $11,000, which helped provide food for over 400 families for a month. Organizers aim to match or exceed that amount this year. The race will use the same course as the previous year.
Online registration is available through midnight on August 26, 2026, with an online entry fee of $30. Day of registration is available at a higher fee of $35 or at $30 if accompanied by a food donation. A donations table will accept canned goods and nonperishable food; donations at that table qualify for a $5 reduction of the day of registration fee. A race shirt is included with the $30 fee for registrations completed on or before August 7, 2026.
Prizes will be given to the first three male and female overall finishers and medals will be awarded to age group winners. No dogs are allowed at the event; service animals are permitted.
