Event
The Sock It To Me Santa 5k is a chip timed 5-kilometre road race in Asheville, NC on December 13, 2025. The event benefits the Asheville City Schools band programs and features a course that runs through downtown Asheville, including the South Slope and River Arts District areas. A kids "Snowflake Chaser" is offered as a single loop on the track for participants 12 and under. Costumed runners may be eligible for costume prizes.
Logistics and entry
The event is based at Asheville Middle School, 211 S French Broad Avenue. Early packet pick up is offered the day before at Second Gear in Westgate Plaza; race day packet pick up is at the school gymnasium. Online registration remains open until midnight on December 12 or until the event sells out; the race is capped at 400 entrants and there is no race day registration. Entry for the 5k includes a race t-shirt and a finisher medal; a custom knit race hat is available as an add-on. The race has a no refund policy and allows transfers to a virtual entry, another runner, or a different distance up to five days before the event.
