Sock It To Me Santa 5k
The Sock It To Me Santa 5k is a holiday themed 5 kilometer road race in Asheville, NC on December 12, 2026. The event raises funds for the Asheville City Schools Band Programs and includes a separate kids Snowflake Chaser.
The course runs through downtown Asheville, including the South Slope and River Arts District areas, and is chip timed. Packet pickup is offered the day before the race and at Asheville Middle School on race day. There is no race day registration.
Race entries include race swag for 5k participants such as a long sleeved tech t-shirt, a custom race bib, and a finisher medal. The kids Snowflake Chaser includes a bib and a finisher medal.

Awards are given to overall top finishers in male, female, and nonbinary categories plus Masters and Grand Masters, and to top three in each age group. Age groups start at 9 and under and continue by ranges up to 80 and over. Costume awards are planned.
Registration opens July 1 with tiered pricing through early December. The event has a no refund policy; a third party enhanced refund protection option is available but does not guarantee a refund.
