Sock It To Me Santa 5K - Asheville, NC

Sock It To Me Santa is a holiday road race held in Asheville, North Carolina on December 12, 2026. The event benefits the Asheville City Schools Band Programs and is organized by the Asheville High School Band Association together with Kick It Event Management. Registration opens July 1 and remains available online until midnight on December 11 or until the event sells out. There is no race day registration.

The chip timed 5K follows a course that winds through the South Slope and River Arts District and uses Asheville Middle School as the event location. Race items for 5K participants include a long sleeved tech t-shirt, a custom race bib, and a finisher medal. A separate kids Snowflake Chaser provides a short track loop and a finisher medal for children.

Entry pricing is tiered with early bird, regular, and last call periods. The event policy notes no refunds, no deferrals, and limited transfer options up to five days before the event. If inclement weather forces a postponement, a fallback date of January 9, 2027 is listed at the race directors' discretion. Awards are planned for top overall finishers by gender and nonbinary categories, Masters and Grand Masters, plus age group prizes and costume recognitions.
