South Asheville Turkey Trot 5K
The South Asheville Turkey Trot presented by Hunter Subaru is the 8th annual 5K held in Biltmore Park Town Square in Asheville, North Carolina on November 26, 2026. The event is offered as both an in-person race and a virtual option. The in-person course is chip timed, fully marked, and USATF certified. All participants receive a commemorative finisher medal that features a spinning centerpiece. Participants who register by November 1 receive a complimentary Run Grateful shirt; shirts remain available for purchase in limited quantities after that date. A pre-event shipping option for race packets and swag is available until November 1.
Packet pickup is scheduled at The Trot Shop, Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park, with a pre-event session on Wednesday, November 25 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm and race day pickup on Thursday, November 26 from 7:30 to 8:30 am. Pickup ends promptly at 8:30 am. The event includes a Best Dressed Turkey contest with awards for Best Dressed Turkey Overall Top 3 and Best Dressed Turkey Group.
The race partners with local charities including Least of These Asheville and iDream Athletes Foundation and accepts monetary donations and donations of snacks and hygiene items at packet pickup. Registration policies note that entries are nonrefundable, transfers to the virtual option are permitted, deferrals are allowed up to 15 days before the event, and transfers between participants are prohibited.
